Our Management Team

Janet McAllister,
President and Chief Executive Officer
Janet McAllister joined I-Impact as president and CEO in December 1999. She brings more than 22 years of experience in the IT, sales, and professional services industries to I-Impact. Janet joins the company from IBM Corporation, where she held a number of prestigious positions since 1984; most recently as corporate vice president and chief learning officer. During her tenure at IBM, Janet also served as director of Consulting and Systems Integration Services as well as director of the IBM Global Services Institute.

Janet has a B.A. in mathematics from California State University and an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley.

Gideon Shalom-Bendor,
Founder,
Executive Vice President, Research and Development
Gideon Shalom-Bendor has more than 15 years of experience in the research and development and project management fields. He has managed research and development, quality assurance, and localization projects at Yeda Computers, Apple Computer, and Pineapple Multimedia. At Yeda Computers, he was responsible for shipping the Hebrew Mac OS. As engineering project management director of Pineapple Multimedia, he managed various international projects for large telecommunications companies.

Gideon holds B.A. degrees in computer science and economics from Bar-Ilan University in Israel, and an M.B.A. from San Jose State University in the Apple Management Masters Program.

Yishai Steinhart,
Founder,
Chief Technology Officer
Yishai Steinhart has been a key contributor in the computer industry for more than 12 years. He has held research and development staff and management positions at a number of technology companies, including Micro-Macro Ltd., Scitex Corp., Apple Computer, and Pineapple Multimedia. At Apple, Yishai was a principal member of the WorldScript team, as well as the international software team for the Apple Macintosh PowerPC platform that provided Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, Korean and Japanese languages. As director of Engineering for Pineapple Multimedia, he managed the development of the Teleview online service, a joint Apple Singapore and Singapore Telecom project.

Yishai holds B.A. degrees in computer science and economics from Bar-Ilan University in Israel, and an M.B.A. from San Jose State University in the Apple Management Masters Program.

Oded Gur-Arie,
Vice President,
Chief Scientific Officer
Oded Gur-Arie has more than 20 years of experience in academia, consulting and the high-technology industry. In his academic research, Oded focused on research methodologies and the application of analytical tools to marketing strategies. After leaving the academic environment, he spent several years with Bain & Co., in Europe and the United States, where he designed and implemented business strategies for key clients. Subsequently, Oded served as CEO of a manufacturing company for six years.

For five years, Oded was a partner and managing director of CFI Group Inc., specializing in the applications of causal models to establish and evaluate the links between decision variables and company performance (financial and market). Numerous clients worldwide have successfully applied these tools.

Oded's work has been published in leading academic journals such as The Journal of Marketing Research and The Journal of Psychology. He currently serves on the board of directors for several corporations.

Oded holds a Ph.D. in business administration, and was formerly on the faculty of the University of Michigan Business School in Ann Arbor.

Dickson Chu,
Vice President of Business Development
Dickson Chu brings over 14 years of high-technology and business experience to I-Impact. He was formerly a principal with Heidrick & Struggles Internet practice, vice president of the Customer Management Group at Wells Fargo Bank, and managing director at CSC Index.

Dickson holds a B.A. in Integral Liberal Arts/Classics and an M.B.A. from Saint Mary’s College. He has authored several white papers on demand chain redesign and supply chain integration.
